Fairchild fine furniture products are backed by an extensive limited warranty
as an expression of our confidence in the fine craftsmanship and quality
materials we use to create our product line. This limited warranty is valid for
the original purchaser only during ownership within the warranty period, and is
effective only upon proper completion by the original purchaser (includes serial
number of the item) and receipt by Fairchild of a warranty by Fairchild of a
warranty card and proof of purchase (such as a receipt), and may not be
assigned. This limited warranty applies under conditions of normal house use and
normal weight. It does not apply to defects resulting from negligence, abuse or
misuse, including inadequate or improper maintenance, care or cleaning, or
exposure to chemicals, liquids, accidents, or any use for which the product was
not designed. FAIRCHILD EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, AND MAKES NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR THAT THE PRODUCT IS
FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Under the terms of this limited warranty, Fairchild retains the option to
repair or replace the defective item. Transportation and delivery costs and
charges may apply and shall be the responsibility of the customer. Any claim for
service under this warranty must be made through the retail dealer from whom the
products was purchased. Service under this limited warranty shall be limited to
reasonable repair or replacement of the product in question, and in no event
shall Fairchild assume liability for incidental or consequential damages. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages in which case this limitation may not apply.
Consistent with major fabric producers and furniture manufacturers, Fairchild
in its sole discretion may refuse warranty coverage where "after market" fabric
or leather protectors or coatings (such as SCOTCH GUARD, 3M, or GUARDIAN) have
been applied to the product. Chemicals in these applications can change the
characteristics of certain fabrics and cause early failure, color changes, and
other damage. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
FRAME AND SPRINGS: Limited lifetime
warranty
Limited warranty valid from date of
purchase to the original purchaser. Applies only to original, unaltered products
with original fabric intact subject to normal wear and usage.
FABRIC: One year limited warranty
Limited warranty valid for one year
from date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty is for abnormal
wear and for where seams come apart, and excludes fading, pilling or shrinkage,
and is not valid where there is evidence of heavy soiling, excessive or
inappropriate usage.
LEATHER: Two year limited warranty
Limited warranty valid for two years
from date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty is for wear and
seam slippage, excludes fading and is not valid where there s evidence of heavy
soling, stain, pet use, or excessive or inappropriate usage.
SLEEPER MECHANISM: Three year limited
warranty
Limited warranty valid for three
years from date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty is not
valid where there is evidence of excessive or inappropriate usage. Please note
that the sleeper mechanism is not intended for everyday use.
QUILTED INNERSPRING MATTRESS: Three
year limited warranty
Limited warranty valid for three
years from date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty is not
valid where there is evidence of excessive or inappropriate usage. Creasing of
mattress due to folding of mattress inside the mechanism is considered normal
and not a warranted defect.
MOTION MECHANISM: Limited lifetime
warranty
Limited warranty valid from date of
purchase to the original purchaser. Applies only to original, unaltered products
with original fabric intact and subject to normal wear and usage. Applies to
parts only and does not include installation labor, transportation and handling
charges that may apply.
FOAM SEATING: Three year limited
warranty
Limited warranty valid for three
years from date of purchase to the original purchaser. This warranty is not
valid where there is evidence of excessive or inappropriate usage. Foam and
filling materials will conform to the shape of the user and tend to soften or
flatten which is natural and not considered a warranted manufacturing defect. It
is also normal for pillow tops to take on a slightly wrinkled appearance that is
not considered a warranted manufacturing defect. |
